In a blog post today Mark Shuttleworth, the founder of Ubuntu, sent out a call to Ubuntu community members to join a secret mission. It sounds like from now onwards Ubuntu will be developed in secret with access to only a few trusted members.
Mr Shuttleworth said that each member will have to fulfill some tasks similar to those shown in the movies "Sound of my Voice". However that doesn't mean you will have to sell your soul to the devil.
Mr Shuttleworth said on his blog, "No NDA’s needed but we will need to trust you not to talk in your sleep ;) . We’ll also need to trust you to write code that is thorough and tested, stuff you’ll be as proud of as we are of the rest of the Ubuntu experience. Of course."
What will the project be about? Something sexy. Mr Shuttleworth said, "So, we thought we would extend the invitation to people who trust us and in whom we have reason to trust, to work together on some sexy 13.04 surprises."
Now you will be curious what will be the code name of this release? No surprises. After picking Raring Ringtail for 13.04 the codename for 13.10 is Sexy Shuttleworth.
